We would like to warmly thank the Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) and the Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL) for Canada’s donation to the infrastructures Dryad, LA Referencia, and ROR of the 4th SCOSS funding round! The donation brings the total of pledges to SCOSS infrastructures over the years to over 5 million euros.
In March 2019, CARL and CRKN both joined the Global Sustainability Coalition for Open Science Services to collaborate on Canada’s support to the DOAJ and Sherpa/Romeo pilot infrastructures. Their commitment since then has been undeniable, year-on-year consistently supporting open infrastructure from across the globe.
This year, the collaboration raised 151 000 euros to support Open Science infrastructures once again! This funding is granted for 3 years, from 2023 to 2025. Thanks to this funding, Dryad, LA Referencia, and ROR will near their targets more quickly whilst at the same time helping SCOSS exceed the 5 million euro mark raised for infrastructures.
“CRKN and CARL members, are proud to continue to support SCOSS in this funding round,” commented Clare Appavoo, CRKN Executive Director. “Supporting open infrastructure is a key part of transforming scholarly communications, and we are glad to participate in an initiative that serves our community here in Canada and around the world.”
Thank you so much, Canada!
